Stourbridge experimental artist Cal is exhibiting his latest artwork at a town café. His latest body of mixed media artwork - a study on the concept of time - can be seen at Stuffed by Cartwright, Victoria Passage, until Saturday July 23. Cal, who was recently praised for his impromptu work to redecorate old changing rooms in Swan Pool Park, said "I always enjoy exhibiting outside the traditional gallery setting, which is lucky as I am not really welcome anyway. This exhibition is an exploration into the human attachment and relationship with time. “The human obsession to save it and give it away, to treasure it and to lose it, to measure it, then to finally run out of it”. Café owner Harrison Cartwright said: "This was a great opportunity to do something different, to stand out and show the potential of the space we have created as more than just a café while supporting a brilliant local artist.”
