The original painting “Persistence of Time and Memory” painted by Salvador Dali (which measures a mere 24cm x33cm) was created in reaction to the popularisation of the wrist watch and the dying out of the traditional pocket watch. Now we find ourselves in a similar situation as phones now take over the need for a wrist watch. I had wanted to pay homage to Salvador Dali for many years and this body of work gave me the perfect opportunity.
